The site is non-commercial. All information are free, published with the best intention. Its purpose is the popularization of hiking and amateur photography, especially hiking in the region and my other hobbies (bicycle riding, electronics and hobby programming..).
The site name cames from wordplay of the form of my name in English and French (Charles) and from the (just) positive meaning of the word charlatan, a person who travels and shows his skills.

Sajt nije komercijalan. Sve informacije na njemu su besplatne, iznesene s najboljom namjerom, populariziracije planinarenja i amaterske fotografije, posebno planinarenja u regiji te nekih mojih drugih aktivnosti (biciklizam, hoby elektronika i programiranje..).
Ime sajta dolazi iz igre riječi od engleskog ili francuskog oblika mog imena (Charles) te (samo) pozitivnog značenja riječi šarlatan, osobe koja putuje i pokazuje svoje vještine.
